Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Kemal Memişoğlu, Minister of Health of the Republic of Turkiye, who is paying an official visit to Georgia.
The meeting focused on the strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye, and the active cooperation in the field of healthcare. It was noted that the close partnership between the two countries in this area has produced tangible results - both in ensuring access to quality medical services for citizens and improving the affordability of medicines.
Special emphasis was placed on the fruitful cooperation with Turkish clinics aimed at strengthening pediatric oncology services. The Prime Minister thanked the Minister of Health of Türkiye for supporting Georgia"s healthcare sector and expressed hope that the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the two countries" health ministries will further advance the partnership.
The meeting was attended by Mikheil Sarjveladze, Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, and Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of Government Administration.
