Two of the 3 individuals detained in connection with the incident on Melikishvili Avenue in Tbilisi on September 8-9 have been released.
According to the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, the injured activists refused to cooperate with the investigation
“I would like to inform you the injured activists did not cooperate with the investigation, and their testimonies rendered it impossible to hold the 2 individuals detained on charges of group violence. Consequently, they were released today.
Regarding the citizen detained on charges of property damage, as we understand, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Georgia has already petitioned the court to grant him bail as a preventive measure, and he is expected to be released within a few hours”, - added the Deputy Minister.
