Eldar Shengelaia’s civil funeral is underway at Sioni Cathedral

A civil funeral for Eldar Shengelaia is underway at Sioni Cathedral. The legendary director will be buried in the Didube Pantheon today. The civil funeral was attended by Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of the Georgian Dream, and his wife. Government representatives were also present at Sioni Cathedral. Eldar Shengelaia died on August 4 at the age of 92.
