The Parliament elected Tornike Cheishvili as Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee. The decision was supported by 81 Members of Parliament at the plenary session.

Tornike Cheishvili`s candidacy for the position of Committee Chair was nominated by the Georgian Dream parliamentary faction.

Tornike Cheishvili succeeds Maia Bitadze, who was appointed Minister of Culture by an order of the Prime Minister of Georgia.
