The Prosecutor`s Office of Georgia has charged 6 foreign citizens with facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of a particularly large amount of narcotics.

An investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs revealed that the defendants illegally purchased and stored a particularly large amount of the narcotics "Alpha PVP" and "Methadone" with the aim of facilitating their sale.

As a result of the measures taken, the employees of the Investigation Department of the Police Department of the Adjara Autonomous Republic of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Khelvachauri District Department seized the aforementioned narcotics. Within the framework of the investigative actions, narcotics located at various locations were seized. Also, items necessary for packaging narcotics were seized from the temporary residential apartments of the accused.

Four of the detainees were charged under Article 260, Part 3, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code of Georgia (illegal purchase and storage of narcotic drugs in an especially large amount), Article 260, Part 6, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code of Georgia (facilitation of the illegal sale of narcotic drugs in an especially large amount), and 2 were charged under Article 260, Part 2, Subparagraphs "b" and "a" of the 3rd part (illegal purchase and storage of narcotic drugs by a group in an especially large amount by prior agreement), Article 260, Part 5, Subparagraph "b" and "a" of the 6th part (facilitation of the illegal sale of narcotic drugs by a group in an especially large amount by prior agreement), which The type and extent of punishment is up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

Based on the prosecutor’s motion, the court sentenced the defendants to imprisonment as a preventive measure.
