Irakli Kobakhidze meets the UN Secretary-General
Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations.
The meeting focused on the cooperation between Georgia and the United Nations, as well as the situation in Georgia"s occupied territories.
The importance of promoting dialogue and the joint efforts of the international community in ensuring global peace and a rules-based international order was emphasized.
The Prime Minister spoke about the initiatives of the Government of Georgia to promote peace in the region, as well as the reforms undertaken to advance the core principles and values of the United Nations and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) agenda.
The Prime Minister of Georgia thanked the UN Secretary-General for the organization"s continued support for Georgia"s territorial integrity and sovereignty, and for its engagement in the peaceful resolution of the conflict.
