The Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia informs you that, in accordance with Resolution N177 of the Government of Georgia of 15 May 2023 “On Approval of the Procedure for Undertaking Internships in Public Institutions,” and with the aim of attracting motivated human resources, a competition will be announced nationwide for the recruitment of 196 paid interns to the structural units of the Revenue Service (Customs Department, Audit Department, Tax Monitoring Department, Debt Management Department, Service Department, Analytical Department, Legal Department, Dispute Resolution Department, International Relations Department and Public Relations and Marketing Department).
The announcement has been published on the website administered by the Civil Service Bureau, vacancy.hr.gov.ge and applications may be submitted from 1 September through 10 September 2026. The internship will last for 3 months and the training will begin on 1 October.
The competition is open to final-year bachelor’s students or master’s students, as well as graduates who completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the spring semester of the 2025–2026 academic year.
A mandatory selection criterion is the applicant’s academic performance (GPA of 2.7–4.0, or 71–100 points under the points-based grading system). In the case of equally qualified candidates, preference will be given to the candidate with the higher academic performance. Please also note that internship candidates are not required to obtain and upload a certificate or academic transcript. They are only required to indicate the educational institution, field of study, and their GPA or corresponding score. The Revenue Service will request this information directly from the educational institution indicated by the applicant. Only in the case of a diploma issued in a foreign language will the applicant be required to upload a translated and notarised copy. Applicants must also upload a copy of their identity document and complete a motivation letter.
Furthermore, an important requirement is that candidates seeking placement in the Dispute Resolution Department and the Legal Department must have a legal education (in the field of law); candidates seeking placement in the Audit Department must have an educational background in business administration, law, or social sciences (economics); while the Analytical Department will accept students specialising in quantitative analysis, with knowledge of statistics and mathematics.
The selection competition will be conducted in two stages: screening of application documents and an interview with members of the competition commission. It should also be noted that, after being admitted as an intern, a student will have the opportunity to use a special attendance schedule in order to combine the internship with the educational process.
The Revenue Service wishes all internship applicants success in their career advancement and professional skills development.
