The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development presented the new head, David Vardiashvili, to the employees of the Georgian State Electrosystem.
Mariam Kvrivishvili congratulated the new General Director on his appointment and wished him success in his activities.
She also thanked the former Head of the Georgian State Electrosystem for his work. Vano Zardiashvili left the position based on his own resignation letter.
David Vardiashvili has many years of experience working in the public service and state management sectors. At various times, he held the position of General Director of the "Georgian Gas Transportation Company", was the Director for Financial Issues at the "Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation", and worked as a member of the Board of Directors/Director at the "Georgian State Electrosystem".
In 2022-2025, he served as the First Deputy State Representative - Governor in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. In 2016-2017, he was the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. Additionally, he worked within the structures of the Revenue Service for 14 years.
David Vardiashvili holds an academic degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences, is an academician of the Georgian Academy of Engineering, and is also the author of a scientific monograph and numerous technical and scientific works.
