President nominates Sulkhan Tamazashvili for the position of Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara

The President of Georgia nominated Sulkhan Tamazashvili for the position of Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara after Tornike Rizhvadze resigned earlier on Friday.

“Sulkhan Tamazashvili has many years of experience working in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including holding leadership positions, where he carried out his duties with dignity and success. I have recently awarded him the Order of Honor for his special contribution to strengthening legality and law enforcement”, - said Mikheil Kavelashvili

Previously Tamazashvili was the Director of the Tbilisi Police Department.
