Today, the plenary session will vote on the candidacy of Anri Okhanashvili for the post of head of the State Security Service of Georgia [SSSG].
Before the vote, the former Minister of Justice will be heard by the Defense Committee.
As it known, the future Head of the State Security Service was a deputy of several convocations of the Parliament and the Head of Legal Issues Committee. Approval of his candidacy for the post of Head of SSSG requires the support of the legislative body.
Grigol Liluashvili has already resigned from the post of Head of SSSG. His 6-year term was due to expire in October. Liluashvili will take over the newly created agency - the Ministry of Regional Development.
