The results of our ambitious infrastructure development agenda are already evident. In 2025, container transit through Georgia via the “Middle Corridor” grew by 33%, while cargo turnover along the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway expanded nearly sixfold. The Prime Minister of Georgia said this at the Georgia-Turkmenistan Business Forum.
Head of the Government welcomed Turkmenistan’s interest in scaling up logistics and warehousing operations near Georgia’s Black Sea ports.
“We highly welcome Turkmenistan’s interest in expanding logistics and warehousing capabilities near our Black Sea ports. I am confident that our current ports, along with the Anaklia Deep Sea Port and its planned Free Industrial Zone, will offer Turkmen companies a vital platform to enter regional markets. Today, more than ever, the private sector plays a crucial role, as businesses turn political partnerships into tangible economic outcomes. While the state secures a stable, predictable, and competitive environment, it is the private sector that drives new initiatives, investments, and job creation”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
