An extensive article about Georgian wine was published in the leading American online publication “Vine Pair”

VinePair, one of the leading American online publications covering wine and alcoholic beverages, has featured Georgian wine in an article entitled “The 17 Best Wines from Georgia”. The piece highlights the rich diversity of Georgian wines, the country’s millennia-old winemaking heritage, and the evolution of its contemporary wine industry. The article was produced with the support of Glodow Nead Communications, a contractor of Georgia’s National Wine Agency.

The article’s author, wine journalist Edward Deitch, visited Georgia in May as part of a wine tour organized with the assistance of the National Wine Agency. During the visit, he and other representatives of U.S. media outlets attended events marking National Wine Day and toured wineries and wine cellars in the Kakheti and Kartli regions. The program provided participants with an opportunity to explore both Georgia’s traditional winemaking methods and modern approaches to wine production.

In the publication, the author introduces the reader to his own selection of 17 Georgian wines and focuses on the unique characteristics of Georgian winemaking. The article discusses the 8000-year history of wine production, the diversity of local grape varieties, the traditional method of making qvevri wine, and the work of Georgian winemakers.

“For most Americans, Georgian wines are a new and attractive discovery. Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Kisi, Chinuri, Goruli Mtsvane, Tavkveri, and other local grape varieties create a different and interesting experience for them. Georgia is a country where wine is an integral part of history and culture. This is symbolically expressed by the monument to the Mother of Kartli, who overlooks Tbilisi and holds a sword in one hand and a glass of wine in the other”, - the article says.

VinePair is considered one of the most popular beverage media platforms in the world. The publication brings together millions of readers each month and has a significant influence on international wine trends and consumer choices, especially among a young and modern audience.

In order to promote Georgian wine internationally, increase its awareness, and promote the development of wine tourism, the National Wine Agency actively cooperates with leading international media outlets. The agency's partners include CNN, CBS, Netflix, The New York Times, Wine Enthusiast, and other influential international publications.
