National Food Agency has suspended the production process of a public catering establishment on Tevdore Mgvdeli Street in Tbilisi due to non-compliance

Inspectors from the Tbilisi Department of the National Food Agency [NFA] conducted an unannounced inspection of a public catering facility owned by an individual, Kh. Kh. (located near Station Square, at No. 5 Tevdore Mgvdeli Street), based on a received notification.

During the inspection process, numerous non-compliances were recorded; specifically, the catering facility was not supplied with drinking water, and hygiene standards were violated.

At the same time, it was established that the business operator was functioning without registration in the Registry of Economic Activities. In accordance with the legislation, due to the identified violations, the business operator was fined, and the production process was suspended.

The NFA actively inspects facilities nationwide and urges business operators to comply with the mandatory food safety requirements provided by law. Simultaneously, active engagement from consumers is crucial, and they are encouraged to inform the Agency about violations via the hotline - 15-01.
