The Tbilisi City Court shared the evidence presented by the Prosecutor’s Office and found seven individuals guilty of "legal theft", membership in a "thieves` underworld", and support for the activities of a "thieves’ underworld".

The evidence examined at the trial established that the so-called “thief in law" instructed members of the "thieves` underworld" to execute the so-called "thieves` decision" against one of the defendants in the penitentiary institution through members and supporters of the "thieves’ underworld", which provided for punitive actions against him.

The defendants were charged under Article 223 Prima, Part 2 ("Legal Theft"), Article 223 Prima, Part 1 ("Membership of a "thieves` underworld"), and Article 223 Tertia, Part 2 ("Supporting the activities of a "thieves' underworld") of the Criminal Code.

The Tbilisi City Court found the defendants fully guilty of the charges and sentenced them to 13 years, 10 years, 9 years, 8 years and 6 months, and 5 years of imprisonment. It is noteworthy that in the above-mentioned criminal case, two defendants signed a plea agreement based on the degree of cooperation with the investigation, based on which one person was sentenced to nine months in prison and a suspended sentence of 3 years, and the other defendant was sentenced to 3 years of probation.
