Prime Minister of Georgia said that parliamentary elections in Georgia would take place in 2.5 years, adding that all political actors have time to prepare.
As he added, alongside preparations for the 2028 parliamentary elections, other important developments were expected, including proceedings in the Constitutional Court.
“Parliamentary elections will be held in 2.5 years, and everyone can prepare for them. At the same time, there will be other processes as well, including in the Constitutional Court, and we should wait for those too.
The opposition’s attitude toward elections is shaped by repeated electoral defeats, they have lost multiple times and face limited prospects for future success.
They are essentially a foreign agent network, and in such circumstances, their aggressive attitude toward elections is not surprising at all.
When you lose elections, you naturally develop aggression toward that process. Therefore, they cannot free themselves from this aggression.
However, now they have a certain moment of clarity and are speaking about elections. In essence, this does not change anything for anyone - neither for the country nor for our political party. Just as we prepared for elections in the past, we are preparing for the 2028 parliamentary elections, where I am confident we will win.
The opposition is so discredited today that they have absolutely no chance of success even in 2.5 years”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
