Construction of a new bridge begins on the Dighmura River - the crossing connects the village of Dighomi with the settlement of Vashlijvari, said the Mayor of Tbilisi at today`s meeting of the capital`s government.

"In the district of Saburtalo, dismantling of the road bridge on Tetri Dukani Street over the Dighmura River and construction of a new bridge begins. Detailed studies conducted by specialists have shown that the structural condition of the existing bridge is significantly damaged and is not subject to rehabilitation. Bridge connects the village of Dighomi with the settlement of Vashlijvari.

It is a three-span metal road bridge, 64 meters long. The project cost is four million GEL. The Tbilisi City Hall Infrastructure Development City Service will begin the work in the near future and will complete it in approximately five months. During the construction process, traffic will be completely restricted in the bridge construction area. We will provide the public with detailed information regarding the movement scheme later", - said Kakha Kaladze.
