The Minister of Sports met with the President of the International Judo Federation

The Minister of Sports of Georgia, Shalva Gogoladze, met with the President of the International Judo Federation [IJF], Marius Vizer.

The parties underlined that judo is one of the most developed sports in Georgia and reviewed perspectives for future cooperation. Shalva Gogoladze and Marius Vizer also discussed the Tbilisi “Grand Slam” and organizational issued for the European Judo Championships scheduled for April 16-19.

The meeting held at the Ministry of Sports was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Sports Irakli Medzmariashvili, Deputy Minister Irakli Dolaberidze, Vice-President of the Georgian Judo Federation David Kevkhishvili, and the Director of the International Judo Federation Gábor Feldegyi.

Tbilisi hosted the Judo "Grand Slam" for the sixth time. More than 400 athletes from 54 countries participated in the tournament.
