Author of the OSCE report refers to family values as so-called “family values”, which is an expression of pseudo-liberal bias; such approaches cannot hold much value for Georgian society - Kobakhidze

In mentioning the name of the Law on Family Values and the Protection of Minors, the author of the OSCE report refers to family values as “so-called family values”, which is a clear expression of their pseudo-liberal bias. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

As he added, against this background, it is not surprising that the aforementioned law became a subject of their irritation and biased assessment.

“The author of the report calls for the repeal of the Law on Family Values and the Protection of Minors. Specifically, they criticize the norms concerning the promotion of same-sex relationships and gender reassignment. The author also suggests that the gender record in identity documents should be easily changeable based on an individual’s preference. It is clear that such approaches are not aligned with the views of Georgian society”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
