A session of the Political Council was held at the central office of the Georgian Dream party. The session was attended by the founder and honorary chairman of the ruling party, Bidzina Ivanishvili.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili, Minister of Economy Mariam Kvrivishvili, and majority members of parliament Gia Volski, Nino Tsilosani, Nikoloz Samkharadze, Irakli Chikovani, and Dimitri Samkharadze also participated in the meeting.

The statement adopted by the Political Council was presented to the media and the public by the Prime Minister after the session. As Irakli Kobakhidze noted, several topics – including sanctioning of Imedi and PosTV by the British government - were discussed at the meeting.
