Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy, together with Avtandil Kasradze, Chairman of the Innovation and Technology Agency, inspected the ongoing repair and rehabilitation works at the Kutaisi Technology Hub [KTH].

The works currently underway include renovations of engineering communications and cladding.

The Ministry of Economy also announced that the KTH will be situated in the historic building of the former Georgian Parliament.

“The KTH project represents yet another ambitious statement by the Georgian government, underscoring our emergence as the region’s primary centre for technology, innovation, and startups. The hub will feature a technology museum, a specialized technology school for children, the largest technopark in Georgia, and the country’s first artificial intelligence computing centre… Overall, this initiative will enable us to operate more proactively in strengthening both business and government services, supporting startups and innovators alike”, - said Irakli Nadareishvili.

He also highlighted that the largest permanent media lighting installation in the South Caucasus is approaching completion atop the building. The interactive exhibits for the Science and Technology Museum have been delivered, with installation planned to commence once the museum’s renovation is finalized.

“The KTH aims to foster innovation, education, and technological entrepreneurship, whilst creating modern infrastructure and promoting high-value activities within the region”, - added the Deputy Minister.
