“Gemo Fest” returns to Svaneti. Organized by the National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the first gastro festival of 2026 will be held in Mestia, on Seti Square, on February 21-22, at 15:00.

Guests of event will have the opportunity to taste both traditional and rare and lesser-known local dishes.

15 local entrepreneurs will participate in the festival. Food and agrozones, an entrepreneurial market and a kid’s area will be organized within the framework of “Gemo Fest”.

“”Gemo Fest” will be held in Mestia for 2 days, on weekends, we are waiting for everyone. The main goal of the event is to develop a gastro-tourism product, promote domestic tourism, as well as to involve and support the local population in economic activities so that they can create a gastro-tourism product. After holding the “Gemo Fest” in different regions, we have a total of 56 “Gemoeli” and the result is that many of them have developed their products into businesses - some have created festival products and participate in various festivals, and have also opened hosting facilities", - says Maia Omiadze, Head of the National Tourism Administration.

The festival will be decorated with music, and the guests will be entertained by: LEVI LOVE DISCO, DUCKTAPE, O’SOUL SPINNER, TOBAKO TWEEN, ONIANI.
