Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament praised President Mikheil Kavelashvili`s annual address, stating that Georgian society had "regained the institution of the presidency" and now has a President who serves the interests of citizens.
"In today`s address, he focused on many pressing issues. I would like to note that our society has regained the institution of the presidency, and today the country has a President who serves the interests of the population.
The President spoke on many topics and emphasised our country`s history and culture.
Mikheil Kavelashvili spoke about the role of Christianity, highlighted the importance of family values and traditions, touched upon education reform, the occupied territories, and the role of peace. It is also noteworthy that he discussed the challenges our country has faced in recent years.
He also spoke about the pressure and influence directed at our country. He made very appropriate points before the public and emphasised the importance of peace and unity. This speech was very relevant, important, and meaningful", - said Giorgi Kakhiani.
