According to the National Environmental Agency, from the end of February 18 to the end of February 19, precipitation in the form of rain is expected in Georgia, with strong, westerly winds in some places and storms of up to 4-6 points at sea.
"Snowfall, heavy in some places, fog, blizzards and avalanche danger are expected in the high mountainous regions of the country. Due to heavy snowfall, blizzards, poor visibility, ice and avalanche danger, traffic may be restricted on certain sections of roads.
The expected heavy rainfall may cause a significant increase in water levels on Georgian rivers, flash floods on small rivers in Western Georgia, and the initiation and activation of landslides and mudslides in hilly and mountainous areas [danger level – medium]", - says the agency.
