All individuals who have committed crimes will be held accountable before the law. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi, while commenting on statements made by former Defence Minister Bacho Akhalaia during a court hearing concerning the overthrow of the Government.

"We all remember these calls, which persisted both before and after October 4. There was a comprehensive campaign aimed at a coup d`état, the overthrow of the government, and the organization of a revolution. Then, on October 4, they began implementing these plans. However, our relevant agencies acted strictly within the framework of the law. Everyone who has committed a crime, of course, will be held accountable under the law", - said Kakha Kaladze.

Bacho Akhalaia previously stated: "I personally believe that this government must be overthrown as swiftly and as ruthlessly as possible, by any means necessary".
