Chairman of the Agriculture Committee met with the Deputy Environmental Protection and Agriculture Minister. During the meeting, the parties discussed plans for future cooperation and issues related to the development of agriculture.

Gela Samkharauli briefed Lasha Dolidze on the legislative initiatives of the Committee. Particular attention was paid to the drafting of a new Law on Producer Associations, as well as to the necessity of updating the existing Law on Soil Protection.

"The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture is working on a reform aimed at the development of agriculture. First and foremost, the reform concerns the systematization and refinement of information, the updating of databases, and the improvement of existing programs. These changes are important for the development of agriculture and for ensuring compliance with modern requirements", - said Gela Samkharauli.
