The Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance informs you that employees of the Tax Monitoring Department continuously carry out various types of current control measures nationwide, including current tax control procedures/inventory of the activities of persons engaged in the purchase and sale of timber products. This implies on-site visits to study the activities of taxpayers. The mentioned procedure includes the description of the actual condition of inventory and material assets and their comparison with the taxpayer`s accounting records.

Within the framework of the control measures, and in coordination with representatives of the Environmental Supervision Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, inventory procedures were conducted at 130 business entities in three cities - Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi. It should be noted that the control procedures are carried out taking into account the taxpayers` working hours and, at the same time, do not disrupt their business operations.

Employees of the Tax Monitoring Department will continue to carry out current tax control measures nationwide in the future as well. The Revenue Service calls on taxpayers to comply with the obligations established by the tax legislation of Georgia.
