Anyone can come out and protest whatever they want, no one is stopping them - Levan Machavariani

Georgia will take into account all advice and recommendations within the framework of its national interests. Such a statement made today Levan Machavariani, First Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Dream faction in the Parliament, while commenting the presentation of Georgia`s 2025 National Report on the State of Human Rights at the United Nations.

"Our delegation is providing the audience with very detailed information about the reforms implemented in Georgia. If there are any biased opinions regarding certain laws, we have seen that these mainly concern the Law on Transparency, which is essential for protecting our country`s sovereignty and security", - said the MP.

He also addressed criticism of the so-called "anti-LGBT propaganda" law, stating that the legislation is important for safeguarding Georgia`s identity.

Besides, Levan Machavariani commented on stricter measures related to assemblies and demonstrations, explaining that these regulations aim to prevent road blockages when the number of protesters is insufficient. "Anyone can come out and protest whatever they want, no one is stopping them", - he added.
