Former Deputy Minister of Health Ilia Ghudushauri arrested

Former Deputy Minister of Health Ilia Ghudushauri has been arrested. According to the existing information, he was detained yesterday and is currently being held in the Zahesi detention center.

Ghudushauri held the position of Deputy Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Protection from 2022 to March 2024.

He was the Deputy Minister of the then Minister, Zurab Azarashvili. Ilia Ghudushauri headed the financial and economic direction at the Ministry of Health.
