Today, as the global landscape shifts and trade routes are reassessed, our country is establishing itself as a center of regional stability and logistics. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made at the event commemorating International Customs Day.

"As the world re-evaluates trade routes today, Georgia is emerging as a centre of regional stability and logistics. The ongoing reforms in the customs sector are crucial to this development.

Alongside rising export and import figures, we have successfully introduced a computerized transit system compatible with the EU. This system, operating with just one declaration and one guarantee, ensures the unhindered flow of cargo within the EU and its 39 member countries.

Moreover, with the support of the Asian Development Bank, active progress is being made on joint customs checkpoint projects with Azerbaijan and Armenia, exemplifying regional cooperation at its best", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
