Officers of Sighnaghi Police Division of Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested G.M., born in 1990, for inflicting severe health injuries on purpose.

The investigation established that on January 10 of the current year, in Sighnaghi municipality, due to a mutual dispute, the accused person severely wounded G.L., born in 1989, with a shot from a hunting rifle and fled the scene.

The wounded man was taken to the clinic, where he is receiving appropriate treatment.

The investigation is underway under Article 117 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for imprisonment for up to 7 years.
