Chairman of the Parliament’s Legal Affairs Committee dismissed renewed allegations linked to the so-called “camite case” as a politically motivated attack on Georgia, saying that only internationally accepted crowd-control methods were used in the country, similar to those applied in the US.

“A campaign that initially began with the BBC has failed. Later, the BBC was used as a source by various bureaucrats and unelected individuals to launch attacks against Georgia, with agents in Georgia presented as witnesses.

A year later, they suddenly “remembered” that allegedly someone had poisoned someone, which is an absolute lie and has been confirmed as such by investigative authorities.

An investigation was conducted by the State Security Service, and the issue has been conclusively closed. Only those methods that are used in other countries were applied in Georgia.

For instance, the US used a specific crowd-control tool just yesterday, and no one there speaks of poisoning people. This is being used solely to attack and target Georgia”, - said Archil Gorduladze.
