President Mikheil Kavelashvili attends Christmas Liturgy at the Trinity Cathedral

President Mikheil Kavelashvili, together with his children, attended the Christmas Liturgy at the Trinity Cathedral.

The solemn service was performed by the Patriarchal Throne, Metropolitan Shio (Mujiri) of Senaki and Chkhorotsku, together with members of the Holy Synod and clergy.

The Christmas Liturgy was attended by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, representatives of the executive and legislative branches.

Before the solemn service, the parishioners gathered at the Trinity Cathedral listened to the Patriarch’s traditional Christmas Epistle. After the festive service, the President congratulated all of Georgia on the holiday of Christmas.

“I would like to congratulate each of our compatriots, each family, and all of Georgia on the occasion of the Nativity of Christ. I would especially like to congratulate our compatriots abroad and all Orthodox Christians. I would like to thank our Church. I also want to congratulate His Holiness, our Patriarch, and express my gratitude for the fact that our faith is so firmly and firmly rooted in our nation”, - said Mikheil Kavelashvili.
