The leaders of the country that oversaw USAID acknowledge that the agency’s primary focus was, unfortunately, on activities that ultimately contributed to the decline of the United States’ image, said the Chair of Parliament’s Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee.

His comments came in response to Elon Musk’s claim that USAID was not just an apple with a few worms, but rather a festering ball of worms shaped like an apple.

“The USAID was involved in illegitimate interference in the internal affairs of other states under the guise of promoting democracy, freedom, and human rights. Many countries, including Georgia, have spoken out loudly about this issue”, - added Irakli Kadagishvili.
