Officers of the Marneuli District Division of the Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sarpi Sh.F., born in 1976, on charges of embezzlement of a large amount of money.

The investigation revealed that N.G., born in 1981, transferred 10,000 USD to the accused for transfer to a friend living in Azerbaijan, which Sh.F. illegally embezzled.

As a result of the investigative actions conducted by law enforcement officers, Sh.F. was arrested as an accused based on a judgeэs ruling.

The investigation is underway under Article 182, Part 3, Subparagraph “b” of the Criminal Code, which provides for imprisonment for a term of up to 11 years.
