One of Georgia`s key priorities is to strengthen the country`s transit and connectivity functions. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made at the ceremony marking the completion of Rikoti Highway construction project.

"The Rikoti project is holding special significance for Georgia from this perspective as well. This is precisely what our country needs. Georgia needs development - fast development - and the implementation of projects like this is the best way and the most effective means to achieve that", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.

He further extended his gratitude to everyone involved in the implementation of the project and congratulated them on the successful completion of what he described as a unique infrastructure initiative.
