Both passenger traffic and the number of flights at Georgia’s airports reached record levels in the first 11 months of 2025, reads the information issued by the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.

“From January to November, Georgia’s airports served nearly 8 million passengers (7,863,534), a 14% increase compared to the same period in 2024 (6,908,493).

During this period, 26,855 scheduled flights and 8,250 charter flights were operated. Overall, the total number of flights (35,105) represents an 18% increase over 2024 (29,871), also marking a record.

Tbilisi International Airport handled 4,981,865 passengers, a 13% rise compared to the same period in 2024.

Kutaisi International Airport served 1,692,513 passengers, up 7% from last year. Batumi International Airport recorded the highest growth, serving 1,165,767 passengers, 30% more than in 2024.

Cargo transport also showed strong growth in the fourth quarter. Over the 11 months, air cargo volumes reached 33,924.485 tons, a 49% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

In terms of passenger numbers, Wizz Air remains the market leader in Georgia, with a 17% share and 1,309,716 passengers transported. The top three airlines based on international scheduled and charter passenger traffic are Wizz Air Hungary (17%), Georgian Airways (8%), and Pegasus and Turkish Airlines (7% each)”, - reads the statement of the agency.
