The speaker of the Georgian Parliament responds to the statement of Elon Musk, who said that “the NGO bureaucracy controls Europe, depriving people of democracy”.

“This is one of the most important statements, and this statement should give another impetus to the discussion of this issue and put an end to the attitude that has been formed over decades. The US strategy states that Europe has today become a minority Government, there are minority governments in European countries.

For years, they have tried to portray NGOs as actually representing the public and the people. Right before our eyes, they have tried to replace the public with NGOs that are not elected by anyone and do not represent anyone. The 20-member ISFED, the 50-member GYLA, or the 30-member Transparency International represent no one in this country except themselves and their donors.

This NGO system, which was imposed especially on developing countries, is the greatest evil that the West created in the countries of new democracies in Eastern Europe, because it was an attempt to replace the public with small lobbying groups that pursue their interests.

This is exactly what Elon Musk is talking about when he says that NGOs run Europe. It is important that this voice was heard from America today.
