Georgia is ready to continue close cooperation with European institutions on the implementation of Black Sea submarine cable project - Kobakhidze

Prime Minister of Georgia welcomed the European Commission’s decision to include the Black Sea submarine cable project on its list of projects of mutual interest, stressing that Georgia was ready to continue close cooperation with European institutions on its implementation.


“It is good that the Black Sea submarine cable project has been added to the list of projects of mutual interest. We are ready to continue cooperation with European bodies regarding its implementation.

The Black Sea submarine cable project is very important for our country. Accordingly, we are actively involved in implementing its first phase. A preliminary assessment of the situation is under way, and of course, we stand ready to continue cooperation with European bodies on this project. It is good that they included it in their list of key and mutually beneficial projects”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
