The Central Election Commission (CEC) hosted a representative delegation from the Kingdom of Thailand. The working meeting was opened by the CEC Chairperson, Giorgi Kalandarishvili, who spoke in detail about various important electoral issues, including the experience the Election Administration has accumulated in the process of technological intervention.
The structure of the Election Administration, an inclusive electoral environment, the use of electronic technologies in elections, voter outreach, communication with the media and stakeholders, and issues related to disinformation - these are just a few of the topics on which the CEC Chairperson provided detailed information to the members of the representative delegation from the Kingdom of Thailand.
“I had a very interesting meeting with the representative delegation of the Kingdom of Thailand, during which we discussed the administration of elections in Georgia and the experience associated with it. We also talked about the use of technologies and strategies for managing disinformation. We agreed with the delegates to establish and develop future cooperation, as well as to encourage the involvement of representatives of both countries in various electoral activities,” stated Giorgi Kalandarishvili after the conclusion of the meeting.
Ms. Apiwan Success, a member of the representative delegation of the Kingdom of Thailand, emphasized the significance of the meeting and the importance of holding similar engagements in the future. “We are sincerely grateful for this opportunity, and it is an honor to be here.
