I have invited the Pope to Georgia and we hope that he will visit our country. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made in Rome.

"This visit will be very important. As you know, next year Georgia will celebrate the 17th centenary of the conversion to Christianity, and in this context, a visit by the Pope to Georgia would be very interesting.

I have conveyed this invitation to the Pope. We hope that he will visit Georgia", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
