Officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 5 people on charges of drug-related crimes - F.P. born in 2002, V.L. born in 1967, I.I. born in 1980, J.L. born in 1985 and L.K. born in 1995.
Among the detainees are both Georgian and foreign citizens.
They are accused of illegal purchase, storage and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in large amounts.
As a result of the personal search of the defendants and search activities held in their residential homes, as well as during the investigative experiment, law enforcement officers seized a particularly large amount of various types of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances prepared for sale from the places indicated by them, including: 22 packages of cocaine, 261 Subutex pills and 36 pill fragments, MDMA, amphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, Lyrica and dried marijuana.
As a result of the investigative actions, the police also seized materials necessary for packaging narcotic drugs.
The committed crimes envision up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-(4) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
