Officers of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested A.F., born in 1992, and R.G., born in 1995, on charges of large-scale, group fraud.

The committed crime envisions up to 9 years in prison.

The investigation established that the defendants deceived and fraudulently extorted a large amount of money, totaling up to 50,000 USD, from N.M., born in 1996, who was interested in purchasing a car, in exchange for assistance in importing the car from abroad.

The police arrested A.F. and R.G. as defendants based on a judge`s ruling.

The investigation is underway under Article 180, II and III parts of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
