Migration Department officers arrested and deported a person wanted by the Republic of Turkey

Within the framework of the fight against illegal migration, the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested a Turkish citizen born in 1997 - B.G., who resided in the country without a legal basis.

As a result of intense coordination between the Migration and Central Criminal Police Departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was established that the detained person was wanted by the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Turkey at the national level for various crimes, namely: theft, body harm, fraud and prison escape.

The Migration Department officers carried out the deportation of the Turkish citizen from “Vale” border checkpoint, where the detainee was handed over to representatives of the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Turkey for further legal action against him.

The Migration Department carries out special immigration control activities on the regular basis to ensure the effective enforcement of the Law of Georgia "On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons".
