Officers of Kobuleti Police Division under Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested previously convicted G.M., born in 1986, and G.Kh., born in 1990, for group violence and armed robbery against a minor.

The committed crimes envision up to 9 years in prison.

The investigation established that the detainees forcibly stole a handbag from V.S., a citizen of the Russian Federation, born in 2010, in Kobuleti. Despite the offered resistance, V.S. managed to return the handbag, due to which detainees physically assaulted him, and inflicted injuries to the body of a minor using a knife, After the incident both of them fled the scene.

The injured minor was taken to the hospital, where he received appropriate medical assistance.

The police arrested both of them as accused persons.

The incident is being investigated under Article 126, part I and Article 179 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
