Several memorandums would be signed during the Prime Minister`s visit to China, aiming to deepen cooperation across various sectors - Songhulashvili

Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture said that several key memorandums would be signed during the Prime Minister`s visit to China, aiming to deepen cooperation across various sectors, including a significant agreement paving the way for Georgian poultry meat exports.

"We are signing several memorandums with our counterpart ministries. The memorandum between the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and China`s Agriculture Ministry envisages the exchange of experience and the identification of priority areas. Cooperation in these areas and the creation of new opportunities between the two countries are very important.

Particular emphasis will be placed on environmental protection. The memorandum includes topics such as waste management, biodiversity, sharing experience in ecotourism, and air quality. Cooperation will deepen even further across many other directions, which will help strengthen institutional ties between the ministries.

This is an especially significant agreement. It represents China`s recognition of the active cooperation with Georgia`s National Food Agency and trust in its quality standards. Such opportunities in agriculture will enable our country to further develop the sector, increase agri-food production, and strengthen the national economy", - said David Songhulashvili.
