Tbilisi City Court sets GEL 1 million bail on former Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili

The Tbilisi City Court on Friday imposed a bail of GEL 1 million on Irakli Garibashvili as a preventive measure in a case of legalisation of particularly large amounts of illegal income.

The court fully satisfied the prosecution`s request. The former Prime Minister must pay this amount within 30 days. Additionally, the prosecution`s request to prohibit him from leaving the country was also approved.

The pre-trial hearing is scheduled for December 16.
