As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Main Division for Juvenile Affairs under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrested L.Kh., born in 1995, on charges of lewd and sexual acts committed against a family member under the age of 14.

The committed crime envisions the imprisonment for a term of up to 12 years.

The investigation established that the accused person, with his prior knowledge, committed a sexual act against his stepdaughter under the age of 14. Within the framework of the ongoing investigation, it has also been established that L.Kh. committed a lewd act against a relative under the age of 14 while visiting his house.

As a result of the investigative actions carried out, law enforcement officers arrested L.Kh. in Tbilisi based on a judge"s ruling. The defendant`s mobile phone, where he kept video recordings of his acts of lewd and sexual character, was also seized as evidence.

The investigation is ongoing under 11(1) – 141, II part and Article 11(1)- 140, I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
