Georgia`s strategic geographic location at the crossroads of Europe and Asia has long positioned our country as a natural gateway between East and West. It is a reliable transit route that ensures the timely and efficient movement of goods, services, energy and digital data. The Prime Minister of Georgia said this during his keynote speech at the investment panel on Georgia being a Nexus For Investments, held within the framework of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum.
According to the Head of Government of Georgia, under leadership guided by the vision of transforming Georgia into a multifunctional and multidimensional hub, regional and global integration is actively deepening with the aim of expanding trade, attracting investments and increasing capital inflows.
"Our strategic infrastructure initiatives are the cornerstone of this vision. Major projects - including the Anaklia Deep-Sea Port, the East-West Highway, the Black Sea Submarine Cable, the Tbilisi International Airport Project and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway - enhance Georgia`s capabilities as a reliable center of regional connectivity and sustainable growth. These initiatives enable the country to fully leverage its transit potential, significantly contributing to the development of the new Silk Road - the Middle Corridor - recognized as one of the most effective transport routes connecting East and West.
Despite global uncertainties and regional geopolitical tensions, Georgia remains a steadfast anchor of peace and stability. With leadership based on a clear vision for long-term peace and sustainable progress, the country continues steadily along a path of development - maintaining macroeconomic stability, achieving impressive growth and demonstrating exceptional economic resilience. These achievements directly reflect the government`s vision and strategy: that peace creates predictability and predictability, in turn, lays the foundation for sustainable economic growth", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
