Mayor of Tbilisi said that there was no place in Georgian politics for people who served the interests of another country and took orders from abroad.
“Those individuals and politicians who are part of an agent network and serve the interests of a foreign country - who receive assignments from abroad - have no place in Georgian politics. We have seen concrete examples of how damaging this is for our small country. We still haven’t healed from the pain and misfortune that befell our nation. Only those who fulfill the will of the Georgian people should be in politics.
It is a huge problem when you serve the interests of others instead of the Georgian people. A political party, first and foremost, should serve the interests of its own people. Therefore, this decision will be important.
This is about a network of agents that has been created over the years, with hundreds of millions spent to build it. This problem is not unique to Georgia. In many countries, where certain individuals attempted coups, they used the same methods. The US President has also spoken about this. We were saying this years ago, and people mocked and ridiculed us for it”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
