The Central Election Commission (CEC) Spokesperson, Natia Ioseliani, held another news briefing and presented the information on on voter turnout.
As she noted, as of 15:00, a total of 991,651 voters have participated in the elections, which constitutes 28.22% of the total number of registered voters.
"The polling process is generally proceeding in a calm and professional environment. There have been a few isolated incidents; however, these do not affect the overall conduct of the elections.
Regarding complaints, although stakeholders are well aware of the procedures for submitting them, we continue to hear unsubstantiated allegations. Once again, we would like to emphasize that the process of filing a complaint follows a specific legal procedure, which must be duly observed.
As of this time, a total of five complaints have been submitted to the District Election Commissions. These mainly concern issues related to violations of photo and video recording rules, the setup of polling station premises, and voter registration outside the polling stations", – said Natia Ioseliani.
